Freestyle film section – Elementary school

A TRUE ILLUSION (1′), 2020.
🎬 KREŽMA, Osijek
📝 This film was made in the fall of 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic and under new life circumstances. This short film intends to show the feelings of people living in isolation, i.e. in lockdown. The film uses stop motion animation and black-and-white photography in order to show (as faithfully as possible) the passage of time and people’s (in)ability to cope with new situations. That is why looking out the window is a constant in the film which symbolises transience.
👁‍🗨 A bold game with filmic means of expression that exceeds expectations and goes deep into the field of authorial expression.

LEGEND, TRAILER (1′), 2020.
🎬 “Ljubo Babić” Elementary School, Jastrebarsko
📝 The film Legend was designed and filmed with the aim of motivating children to read the novel of the same name by the writer Marie Lu. The film offers a depiction of the most tense moments in the novel. The idea of the novel is presented in the film’s fictional scenes. The topic of the novel/film is the struggle of two complete strangers against the government and state laws.
👁‍🗨 It wins an award because it encouraged us to read the novel of the same name in a short, sweet and instructive way.

WORLD (2′), 2021.
🎬 Photo Cinema Club Ivanovec, Čakovec
📝 The film shows the transformation of Earth as we know it today into a big snow globe that wanders aimlessly through space. If we look at it from another angle, it becomes a place of great changes and great life decisions that can be changed very easily and very quickly.
👁‍🗨 It wins an award for its interesting and relaxing topic, amazing sound effects and music.
