Workshop film section – Elementary school
#STOPCYBERBULLYING (3′), 2021. 🎬 Drama/Media Group from Dragalić Elementary School, Dragalić 📝 The film shows how the impact of negative comments affects children’s psyche. Often, under such influence, we begin to identify with what is written. With this film we want to show that we are not what others write about us on social media. We have other positive qualities that make us complete. 👁🗨 This is a film that has made great use of the potentials of stop motion animation in order to bring a demanding and, unfortunately, very current topic closer to us in a dynamic and direct way. It wins these awards because it shows the weight of mean words and their consequences in an original way. 🏆 1st award of the expert jury (59th Croatian Children’s Film Festival) 🏆 3rd award of the children’s jury (59th Croatian Children’s Film Festival)
CAPCYCLING (2′), 2020. 🎬 “Our Children” Society from Zabok 📝 This film was made as part of the 9th Kiki Festival, organized by “Our Children” Society from Zabok and the GOKUL association. The idea of one of the festival’s workshops was related to the problems of plastic pollution and raising awareness about the harmfulness of disposable plastic. Its goal was to make people aware of the importance of not throwing plastic into nature, i.e. classifying it correctly and, if possible, recycling it in order to reduce pollution as much as possible. 👁🗨 This film is beautifully rounded; the theme and the characters and the material used for the animation – everything is in harmony! It is also skillfully directed and animated with a lot of love and effort. It wins these awards for its message, which we think is important for young people to hear, as well as for the skillful animation. 🏆 2nd award of the expert jury (59th Croatian Children’s Film Festival) 🏆 2nd award of the children’s jury (59th Croatian Children’s Film Festival)
